Great Energy Win the Butcherbird Contract

Mine-Site Power Station - BOO - Build Own and operate

Great Energy are proud to announce that we have won the contract to build and operate a power station to supply power to the Butcherbird mine site in Western Australia.

In fact, not only have we won the contract, but are already providing power to the Butcherbird mine site as of this month (March 2021).

Great Energy will be supplying 100% of the mine site energy requirements with our BOO (Build, own and operate), power station using 4 x 500kva Scania diesel generators, we will also be responsible for the maintenance, ensuring maximum up-time for the Butcherbird project.

This has also allowed Great Energy to create additional jobs in WA, as we employ a new Power Station Electrician, an Electrical Engineer, as well as a number of other subcontractors.

Our Managing Director, Gavin Great, said that “Great Energy is excited to be providing power to the remote Western Australia’s Butcherbird Manganese Project, and looks forward to developing an ongoing relationship with Element 25 to ensure all long-term needs and expectations are not only met, but exceeded”.

The Butcherbird manganese project is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
